Interview with The Sucklord!

Read my interview with Morgan Phillips, a.k.a. The Sucklord, the brilliant creator of the Suckadelic line of limited edition bootleg toys, short films on his Original Villain Network, and Star Wars breakbeats. Morgan is one of my favorite cutting-edge artists, and his relentless creativity is a constant inspiration.

This interview kills.

Morgan's do-it-yourself attitude (he makes & sells all his toys himself out of his loft in Chinatown, NYC) should inspire anyone who wants to make their own art, sell it, and become famous without worrying about asking anyone's permission. And, he just creates just brilliant work. You'll even learn what it was like to grow up in Greenwich Village in the 80's.

Enjoy!

Genious!!!

I have never laughed so much in my life while reading an interview! Now I'm like all addicted to his blog and specially the old posts.
I hope to get some of his stuff in July when I get to NYC.

GREAT interview - have a total new respect for the sucklord - was never a hater, but never really a lover either. funny how a little insight can change your perspective on art and artist... thanks for that.

So great!

Sucklord is like a mixed drink, you have to get what's going on and then you really get into it!

Sorry for the bad analogy there.

Paul,
We need more toys from Sucklord than another JLed piece. Hook this guy up.

Hi Paul, I meant to tell you that I really enjoyed your talk at the MCA here in Chicago a few months back. Especially when you raved about The Sucklord's work. A friend of mine took me to Coat of Arms in NY last week where I was happy to pick up one of his pieces. Thanks for mentioning him.
