About a year ago I met Tim Schifter, who as far as I'm concerned makes some of the best pop-art inspired bags in the world. I am kind of a bag junky (I spend a lot of money at Porter every time I am in Tokyo) and so making bags has been on the list of things that I just feel Kidrobot needs to do. And, like everything, Chad & I really wanted to push the limits.
Tim and I really hit it off and a year later, we're actually making bags. The designs are pretty insane, and stylish, and most importantly for me hold the design integrity of our toys and clothing. Lots of 3M madness, toy prints, and shiny colors. Some of the bags come with toys you can't get anywhere else attached to them... Look for them in our stores this summer and fall!
The Woman's Wear Daily article that just came out today has some preview images, and there are tons more coming.

Personal question...
You ever taking KR public or you just gonna keep it real? Hey Nostalgia is Death but damn do people make alot of money off it!

cute! a bag to go with my sneakers!
That's what I was thinking too!
Michael -- I will only go public if I get to hang out with David Bowie on his private Island! Until then I'm going to keep eating at Pepe Rosso and taking the train.
Seriously, I've no plans. We're having too much fun.
I like the style but I was just really testing if your a businessman or an artist? I admire your work....Consider coming out to the Global Flameoff in Amsterdam the last week of November...Its a win-win situation
I think having KR create bags is truly a unique idea; what would be cooler is if there was a line of bags designed by artists, just like how the dunnys are. I can't wait to see what KR has next up their sleeves!
